Research Data Management Librarian

Joe is a Research Data Management Librarian at the University of Virginia Library. He consults with researchers and staff all around campus about data management, creates workshops and activities to engage researchers and students, and connects people to data lifecycle resources. With a background in science communication, Joe appreciates trying to transform complicated data and documents into presentable, accessible information. He has a BS in Biology from Oregon State University, and an MSIS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a certificate in research data management. Currently, he is interested in the development of data citations, and also how to be more proactive in addressing researchers’ data management needs.
